Living… in Beverly Hills, just a stone’s throw from the studio backlots where she films the movies that make her a superstar. She lives very comfortably.

Visiting… London. She’s promoting her latest sci-fi movie, Helix. Although work brought her to the UK, she is hoping to spend some personal time there too. She is getting over a bad breakup with the movie star Jeff King, so she is looking forward to escaping from the Hollywood limelight. 

Profession… professional actress. That’s her official profession, but her unofficial one is being America’s darling. As glamorous as it may be to be on the cover of tabloids, it can have its drawbacks too.

Interests… traveling and books. So it was a great surprise for her to find a small bookstore in the Notting Hill area of London that just sold travel books. And even more surprising is the store’s owner, Will Thacker. He spilled orange juice all over her and then invited her back to his place to change. It’s an unusual pick up approach, to say the least. But it worked – Anna left his place by giving him a kiss.

Relationship status… in progress. She is intrigued by the possibility of dating Will who is so much more down to earth than the men she has previously dated. But things get complicated when her ex-boyfriend Jeff makes an unexpected trip to London to see her.

Challenge… wanting things to be easier. Anna is the envy of so many “normal” women, but Anna is also jealous of them. Anna wishes she could have a less complicated life. As she says, “I've been on a diet every day since I was nineteen, which basically means I've been hungry for a decade… And every time I get my heart broken, the newspapers splash it about as though it's entertainment. And it's taken two rather painful operations to get me looking like this.”

Personality… mature and witty but a bit cynical. Years upon years of ceaseless filming, tabloid exposure, and interviews have made her all too knowledgeable about the inner-workings of Hollywood. She tends to view things pragmatically, but she also has a strong romantic streak that comes to clash with her jadedness and practicality.
