Character Analysis

Overview… a woman who is ready to leap – in more ways than one. Anna is a successful real estate “stager” who transforms bland spaces to attract new buyers. And now Anna has just arranged to purchase an apartment of her own. She and Jeremy, her boyfriend of four years, have just put a down payment on a fancy apartment overlooking Boston Common. Despite this gesture of commitment, Jeremy seems to be dragging his feet. After four years he hasn’t so much as hinted at wanting to get married. Anna, who is begging for a proposal, decides to follow Jeremy to Dublin in order to propose to him on Leap Day, February 29th, an Irish tradition.
Personality… romantic, idealistic, and a tad controlling. Anna doesn’t believe in luck– she believes in good preparation. She seems to have found everything she’s ever wanted in Jeremy, a successful doctor. But unfortunately, he seems to be more attached to his cell phone than he is to her.

When yet another anniversary passes without a marriage proposal from her boyfriend, Anna decides to take action. Aware of a Celtic tradition that allows women to pop the question on Feb. 29, she plans to follow her lover to Dublin and ask him to marry her. Fate has other plans, however, and Anna winds up on the other side of the Emerald Isle with handsome, but surly, Declan -- an Irishman who may just lead Anna down the road to true love.
