Living… shrouded in mystery. According to her disciple, Karl Mordo, “no one knows the age of the Sorcerer Supreme. Only that she is Celtic and never talks about her past.” She currently resides in Kamar-Taj, an isolated community in the Himalayas that serves as training grounds for the Masters of the Mystic Arts.
Profession… the Sorcerer Supreme. As the leader of the Masters of the Mystic Arts, the Ancient One protects Earth from mystical threats and trains new members. Her latest recruit? An arrogant and desperate ex-neurosurgeon named Stephen Strange.
Interests… the mystic arts. The Ancient One has mastered every component of her craft, from teleportation to astral projection. The world of magic may not make much sense, but “not everything does, not everything has to.”
Challenge… stopping Kaecilius. Her former student has a dastardly plan to unleash the forces within the Dark Dimension and the Ancient One must do everything in her power to prevent the destruction of Earth.
Personality… a series of paradoxes. The Ancient One is “steadfast, but unpredictable; merciless, yet kind.” She commands respect and inspires fear.
