Character Analysis

Grew Up... as the son of Dracula. Alucard was born Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes, the half-human, half-vampire dhampir son of Dracula and a woman named Lisa.
Living... in exile. Alucard is deeply ashamed of his vampiric nature and his connection to the evil of Dracula, so he lives in self-imposed exile.
Visiting... Dracula’s castle. When Dracula returns in 1791, there are no members of the Belmont clan to stop him as they have done in the past. So Alucard takes on the responsibility of entering Castlevania to defeat Dracula once again.
Profession... enemy of Dracula. Alucard was once a loyal member of Dracula’s army. However, his gentle, dying mother eventually convinced him that humans should be spared. So Alucard decided to use his dark abilities to fight against his father, vowing, “You will never touch this world again. In Mother's name, I swear it!”
Interests… defeating Dracula. Nothing would make Alucard happier than to see his monstrous father finally destroyed. And although his magic is not as strong as Dracula’s, it still trumps any mortal, giving him a fighting chance.
Relationship Status... single. Alucard lives in exile and doesn’t like to socialize. Also, he is so ashamed of what he is and what his father has done that he has absolutely no desire to continue his cursed bloodline by starting a family.
Challenge... surviving Castlevania. Alucard possesses powerful dark magic, but he is still vulnerable to the legion of evil creatures lurking inside Castlevania. He’ll have to defeat them all if he wants to confront his father.
Personality... remorseful. Alucard is driven by the shame of being a part of his father’s evil legacy, and he wants to do whatever he can to fight against it. He even changed his name to Dracula spelled backwards to represent that he is the opposite of his dark father.
