Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Living... in prison after years of smuggling heroin around Europe for a drug cartel.
Profession... drug dealer. Even though she is behind bars, she still sells drugs, but instead of heroin she trades her anti-depressants for eyeliner. When she gets out of prison, she’s not sure what she will do. She says her only skill before her incarceration was “moving massive amounts of heroin,” and she can’t exactly do that anymore if she plans on staying out of trouble.
Interests… being alone. You can usually see her reading a book and peering at the other inmates behind her thick-rimmed glasses, silently judging.
Relationship Status... reunited with her ex-girlfriend Piper, Litchfield Penitentiary’s newest inmate. A lot has changed since their whirlwind romance. Piper is engaged to a writer, but could she fall back in love with Alex while she’s away from him?
Challenge... fighting depression and finding out who she is. She was briefly addicted to the heroin she sold after Piper dumped her ten years ago. Now she’s in AA, telling everyone prison is her “rock bottom.” With nowhere to go but the prison commissary, she’s got a lot of time to discover who she really is underneath all the crime and danger.
Personality... dry, intelligent, and manipulative. She convinced Piper to move drug money across European borders ten years ago. What kind of mind games is she going to play now that they’re locked up together?
