Alex Truelove

Living… in New York, attending Buchanan High School as a senior. Alex lives upstate, but he has close access to the city and its various sites. He likes to attend concerts and parties at local bars.   

Profession… student, and quite a good one. Boasting a 4.0 GPA while being the class president, it seems that Alex should have no trouble getting into Columbia, the school he and his girlfriend plan on attending together. Right? 

Interests… animals. Alex is obsessed with wildlife, intrigued by animals and their habits, exteriors, and bizarre mannerisms. Alex and his girlfriend, Claire, even host their own channel - properly named Savage Kingdom High - where they discuss animals along with the primal-like behavior of some of their classmates. As Alex says in one of their segments, “It’s mating season here at Buchanan High.”

Relationship Status… dating Claire. The two met while working on a project, and they have since gone from acquaintances to friends. Alex is scheduled to have sex with Claire soon, despite that he has no idea how, or if he truly even wants to.

Challenge… being honest with himself and others. When Alex meets Elliott, things become very complicated, and Alex finds himself questioning his sexuality, his intentions, and his relationship with Claire. For Alex to be truly fulfilled, he must be honest with himself about his desires. 

Personality… perceptive, understanding, and, honestly, quite a dork. Still, Alex is well-loved by his closest friends and family, and tries to be a good boyfriend while grappling with some newfound aspects of his personality. But as Alex’s inner conflicts grow more and more complex, he might find himself hurting everyone he cares about.
