Grew Up... as the best friend of Erin Gilbert. Abby transferred to Erin’s high school during her junior year and the two immediately bonded over their mutual love of ghost stories. In fact, Abby was the only one who believed Erin’s story about seeing a ghost when she was a kid.
Living... individualistically, in New York City.
Profession... physicist and paranormal scientist. Abby works in a rundown wing of the Higgins Science Institute where she and her partner Jillian Holtzmann study the paranormal without much success. So when the Institute cuts off her funding, Abby decides to form her own group called the Ghostbusters alongside Jillian, Erin, and New York expert Patty Jenkins.
Interests... investigating the paranormal and eating wonton soup.
Relationship Status... single. Abby’s too busy investigating ghosts to have time to date.
Challenge... saving New York City. Beyond everyday ghost sightings, someone or something is allowing spirits to cross over in mass, and the only ones who can do something about it are the Ghostbusters. Abby doesn’t just want her business to flourish, she sees it as her duty to help people. As she puts it, “We see what no one else is willing to see. We do things others can't do. If there's a paranormal problem, we're the ones to answer the call.”
Personality... bold, fearless, and a little frenzied. Though no one takes her belief in the paranormal seriously, Abby isn’t afraid to forge her own path; she’s never been embarrassed by her unusual beliefs. As she puts it, “It's really easy to sit there and be the naysayer when you don't actually do anything.” She’s passionate about her work and she doesn’t care what other people think. She’d rather try and fail than not try at all. Above all, however, Abby is deeply loyal to her friends and optimistic about what they can do when they work together.
