Character Analysis

Grew Up… during the apocalypse. Abby was raised in a time where the Cordyceps brain infection has spread across the world, effectively turning most of the population into zombies. When she was young, she lived in Salt Lake City with her father, Jerry, who was the head surgeon, and other Fireflies, a rebel group that grew in the wake of disaster and oppressive governments.
Living… in Seattle, Washington. When the Fireflies disbanded following the death of Jerry and another Firefly leader, Abby and her friends relocated to the base of the Washington Liberation Front, another anti-government organization.
Profession… soldier in the Washington Liberation Front (WLF). Abby was trained in combat and survival skills when she was with the Fireflies, and she became even stronger after joining WLF, easily taking down hordes of infected and enemy soldiers alike.
Interests… collecting state quarters. When Abby was younger, she and her dad had a shared interest in collecting state quarters, bringing a little joy into this otherwise grim time. Now, she continues this hobby on her own.
Relationship Status… single. Abby used to date Owen, but now they're just friends. It would get messy if things changed since Owen is now dating Mel and it turns out she's pregnant and Owen is the father.
Challenge… moving past her father's death. Years ago, her father Jerry had a chance to create a vaccine but at the cost of a young girl’s life. The girl’s caretaker, Joel, killed Jerry before he could finish the vaccine. Set on avenging her father, Abby hunted down Joel and beat him to death. Abby thought that killing Joel would finally bring her peace from her nightmares, but her nightmares continue.
Personality… vengeful, loyal, and stoic. As if living during a zombie apocalypse wasn't hard enough, Abby losing her father has hardened her even further. She’s extremely capable and independent, but she also knows when she needs to rely on her friends, and in return, she is fiercely loyal.
